The Melbourne Disability Connection Expo 2024, sponsored by Easy Healthcare is to be held at The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition on Friday 18th & Saturday 19th October.  The expo runs from 10a.m. - 4p.m. each day.

From the organisers:

"This event has been shaped and delivered by people living with disability, for people living with disability. Best of all, it’s FREE to attend.
With the NDIS Review and Royal Commission shaping how disability services are delivered in Australia, come and find out more and get support navigating a changing system.
We have an action-packed two days for you. There’s so much to see and do, we’d recommend coming for the full day, or both days.  Here are just some of the things on offer;
  • A NDIS Information Hub, where you can ask a team of experts any NDIS questions and get real-time answers
  • Interactive performance every 30mins, thanks to our Main Entertainment sponsor Envision Healthcare. Plus we have another 4 entertainment areas.
  • Quiet time between 10am - 10:45am, and our hour of power party time to finish each day from 3-4pm. We have lots of chill our areas and there plenty of spaces at the venue for noise breaks
  • Loads of chill out and recharge zones so you can take your time and have a rest when you need to

With over 200 exhibitors covering every NDIS topic available, this is going to be THE event of the year, you won’t want to miss it."

TSAA will have an information stand at the event both days.  We are looking for enthusiastic people within our community to assist by:

  • Setting up/Packing up
  • Talking to service providers and the general public who visit the stand about Tourette Syndrome and the impact it has on peoples lives.
  • Raising awareness of the TSAA and how we support individuals and their families living with Tourette Syndrome.

You don't need to be an expert you just need to be welcoming, warm, enthusiastic and have a sense of fun!  Does this sound like something you could help us with? If so, please feel out the volunteer registration form and we will be in contact with you to discuss this further.  With your help - we can make a BIG difference!
