You may have noticed that our new website is no longer selling books about TS.  This is because they are often readily available to purchase through online book stores, and you can usually get free postage. Instead, we are recommending books and providing links to purchase them on Amazon (you may also find them elsewhere).

That leaves us with a stock of books that we have decided to donate. By donating books about Tourette Syndrome to libraries, health services, child/youth/family services and CAMHS units, particularly in rural and regional areas and remote indigenous communities, we can improve access to information about Tourette Syndrome.

We would like our members to have input into where these donations go, and are asking for your suggestions. All nominations will be reviewed by the TSAA Committe, with the selected organisations being published in our first newsletter for 2024.

Each TSAA member with their own login can nominate up to three organisations by submitting three nomination forms:

The nominations will be open for three weeks, closing 12pm on 3 October 2023. You must be a TSAA member and logged into your account to access the form.  Priority will be given to organisations in regional, rural and remote areas.

Despite its prevalence, TS remains widely misunderstood, leading to delayed or inaccurate diagnoses and inadequate treatment options. It is essential to address these gaps by establishing a standardised diagnostic framework and treatment pathway for TS in Australia. This comprehensive approach will not only facilitate early identification and intervention but also ensure that individuals with TS receive the appropriate support and care they need.

Please join our campaign to make this happen by letting your local Member of Parliament and Senator know how important funding a TS diagnostic framework and treatment pathway is. Use the link below to find our template letter and instructions for sending it to your local MP and Senator. The more voices we have, the greater our chances of being noticed and receiving the funding we need. Please encourage your family and friends to take part in the campaign as well.

Use our campaign tools to contact your local MP and let them know we need improved diagnosis and treatments for TS.

It's taken a little longer than expected, but our new website is finally live.  Not all of our content is published yet so check back regularly to stay up-to-date.

Members who are fully paid up or overdue by no more than 90 days will soon receive their new membership details.  If you haven't received anything by the end of August, please check your spam/junk folder.

We are offering a 50% discount on your next membership renewal to the first 60 members to log into their account and complete their profile (answer the profile questions). To enter the competition, update your profile then click on the competition link below to enter. If you do not do this final step you cannot enter the competition.

Due to differences in the old and new membership databases, we have only transferred the name of the primary membership holder and their email address.  Other details are required to be entered when you first log in.

    Please note:

    • If your old membership account contained only one name, you have been assigned to an "Individual Membership", if you want to include other members of your household you will need to change your membership level to a "Household Membership".  If you are a member for professional, rather than personal reasons, you can change your membership level to "Professional Membership".
    • If your old membership account contained two names in the "First Name" field, a "Household Membership" has been created with the first listed name as the primary membership holder and "bundle coordinator".  You will need to add other household members manually under the "Bundle Summary" when editing your profile.  If you no longer wish to have other people on your membership, you will need to contact us to change your membership to an Individual or Professional membership
    • If your old membership account contained multiple names (e.g. children or partner), a "Household Membership" has been created in the name of the primary membership holder (bundle coordinator).  You will need to add other household members manually under the "Bundle Summary" when editing your profile.  If you no longer wish to have other people on your membership, you will need to contact us to change your membership to an Individual or Professional membership

There is currently no difference in the price of the three membership options.

Guidance for accessing and updating your membership account can be found here.

Instructions on how to add household members (Bundle members) can be found here.  Open your profile (view profile), scroll down to bundle summary and click Add Member.

Our website is hosted on a platform called Wild Apricot.  Once you have set up your account, you have the option to download the members app (android and windows versions are available).  Instructions of how to use the app are here (android) and here (apple).  The app will give you access to update your membership profile, view and register for events, add events to your calendar, renew your membership, view your membership card and view your event tickets.  Your electronic membership and volunteer card is also stored in the app.

Don't forget to enter the membership competition once you've upated your profile.  You must be logged into your account to enter.
